Zelensky addressed the Russian leader Putin, who occupied his lands. Stating that Russia continued its missile strikes, Zelenski said, “Russian troops have stopped advancing in many directions. Russia is hitting military and civilian targets.”
Zelenski also called on Putin for dialogue and said, “We must put Russia back at the negotiating table to stop the deaths.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin made a statement in response to Zelensky’s call. “Russia is ready for high-level negotiations,” said Putin.
On the other hand, in parallel with the statement of Russian leader Putin, the Kremlin’s statement said, “We are ready to send a delegation to Minsk for talks.”
While the clashes between the two countries continue today, a remarkable statement came from the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Answering journalists’ questions on a live broadcast, Lavrov accused NATO of manipulation. Reacting to the rhetoric that Russia has invaded Ukraine, Lavrov said, “We have no plans to invade Ukraine.”
